Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of learning inquiry training
model on simple harmonic motion lessons to the students' science process skills in
grade X SMA Negeri 1 Tualang. The type of this study was quasi experiment with Intact
Group Comparison design and involved 1 control class and 1 experimental class
consisting of 68 students. The instrument used in this research is a science skill test
consisting of 18 validated description questions. The result of the analysis shows that
the six aspects of science process skill consist of observation skills, collecting and
processing the data, planning the experiment / research, formulating and testing the
hypothesis, formulating the explanation and drawing conclusions in the experimental
class with the treatment using inquiry training model higher than the control class
Using conventional models. Based on the data analysis and discussion it can be
concluded that the inquiry training model positively influences the science process skills
on simple harmonic motion lessons.
