IMPLEMENTASI JAKARTA CLEAN AIR PARTNERSHIP Tahun 2020-2023
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The rapid development and increasing economy in the city of Jakarta could make Jakarta a livable city for its people. However, the deteriorating air quality was a big challenge for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to realize the vision. The Jakarta Clean Air Partnership is a collaboration between Non-Government Organization - Bloomberg Philanthropies and its implementing partner Vital Strategies with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government - DKI Jakarta Environment Agency which aims to control air pollution in the city of Jakarta. The study elaborated the partnership and its results.
The study was a descriptive qualitative research utilizing documents from journals, books, official reports, and news as well as interviews with the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency and Vital Strategies how the implementation of the Jakarta Clean Air Partnership 2020-2023 was. Transnationalism perspective and international cooperation theory were utilized to analyze the data.
The research showed that Vital Strategies together with government agencies, community organizations, academics and the private sector have conducted in-depth studies related to air pollution control strategies in the city of Jakarta and by consistently implementing concrete actions in the Jakarta Clean Air Partnership, the city of Jakarta will be able to overcome air pollution problems.
