Abstract


Kampung Dayun is one of the villages in Siak Sri Indrapura Regency, which is one of the villages that has implemented a child-friendly village (KELANA), but from the data obtained it appears that in Dayun village cases of violence against children are still quite high. Some of these aspects made researchers interested in examining how the Village Government's Communication Strategy in Implementing the Child Friendly Village Program in Dayun Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency. The Child Friendly Cities/Districts Program as a step to create a friendly environment as a facility and can aspire to children's rights to create conditions that are conducive for children to be able to grow and develop properly and a conducive environment as a place for children to live will also provide protection for children .
This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The research subjects here were the Penghulu of Dayun Village, Chair of the child-friendly Village task force, Chair of the Kampung Dayun children's forum, namely Mrs. This study uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. To achieve the validity of the data in this study the authors used the source triangulation technique.
The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy of the village government in implementing the Child Friendly Village Program in Dayun Village, Dayun District, Siak Regency is carried out by analyzing the needs of the audience, making approaches through various counseling, making plans for information/messages to be conveyed, determining methods through direct communication. and written communication. Use of Communication Media with posters, flyers, banners and pamphlets as well as manuals on the protection and fulfillment of children's rights.
The obstacles to implementing the dissemination communication strategy in the Child Friendly Village program in Dayun Village are educational barriers in the form of understanding information, and psychological barriers in the form of conveying messages to residents and differences in character between residents and officers.
