PERAN POSYANDU DALAM MENINGKATKAN KESEHATAN BALITA (STUDI DI LINGKUNGAN RW 12 KELURAHAN TANGKERANG LABUAI KECAMATAN BUKIT RAYA KOTA PEKANBARU)

Abstract

Health is a shared responsibility between the government and its components public. Health problems must be of particular concern, especially with respect to age vulnerable like a toddler. So that one of the efforts made by the joint government community is empowerment by forming Posvandu as a service health at the basic level. The purpose of this research is to describe posyandu roles that have been carried out by cadres and their proactive efforts in improving the health of toddlers in RW 12, Tangkerang Labuai Village Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This type of research is a research qualitative with Triangulation Technique. The total population in this study is 25 toddlers with a sample of 10 toddlers. Data collection is done through data primary by using interview questionnaires, direct observation and data secondary. The results of the study show that posyandu plays a very important role in improve the health of toddlers by implementing all posyandu programs with well that is carried out by the cadres according to their duties and its functions, as well as carried out various proactive efforts towards residents who have toddlers in the neighborhood of RW 12.
