PERSEPSI NELAYAN TERHADAP KEBERADAAN ALAT TANGKAP BAGAN APUNG DI KANAGARIAN KACANG DANAU SINGKARAK
Abstract
Bagan apung is one of the new fishing gear operating in Lake Singkarak. A bagan apung is a kind of fishing gear made of a series of iron measuring 4x4 meters to 15x15 meters. Most of those who use this bagan apung are fishermen who are on the shores of Singkarak Lake. The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is the public perception and the factors that influence people's perceptions of the existence of bagan apung fishing gear. The purpose of this study was to analyze public perceptions and the factors that influence people's perceptions of the existence of bagan apung fishing gear. The theory used in this research is the theory of perception according to Kartono. Data analysis used descriptive method with a quantitative approach, the technique of taking in this study is by simple random sampling, the sampling is done randomly where all the population has the potential to be sampled. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula, and the number of respondents in this study was 64 people. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the public perception of the existence of floating chart fishing gear can be accepted and liked by the community, and the community guarantees that the relationship between fishermen is well-established. Factors that influence public perceptions of the existence of bagan apung fishing gear are object factors that are assessed based on observations of bagan apungt users
