STRATEGI ADAPTASI PETANI KELAPA SAWIT DALAM MENGHADAPI REPLANTING KELAPA SAWIT DI DESA BAGAN BHAKTI KECAMATAN BALAI JAYA KABUPATEN ROKAN HILIR

Abstract

This research was conducted in Bagan Bhakti Village, Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the adaptation strategy of farmers after replanting in Bagan Bhakti Village, Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir Regency. The focus topic of this research is the adaptation strategies used by oil palm farmers in dealing with oil palm replanting. The sampling technique was simple random sampling and determined the number of samples as many as 64 people. The author uses descriptive quantitative methods and data instruments are observation, questionnaires and decomentation. This study found that 56.3% of farmers who prepared their needs when replanting oil palm were carried out, received 100% socialization from PT Koeboeraya Bangun Perkasa, and the adaptation strategies used by farmers in dealing with oil palm replanting were: 6%, planting crops to increase income such as chilies, vegetables and tubers as much as 4.7%, borrowing money from relatives and other sources as much as 75%, having savings 68.8%, owning assets 59.4%, family members working outside the agricultural sector 43.8%, minimizing family expenses 59.4%.
