PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PROGRAM CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DI PT. PERTAMINA RU II SUNGAI PAKNING

Abstract

Community empowerment through the CSR program is a company's commitment to contribute to sustainable economic development by paying attention to social and environmental aspects. PT. Pertamina RU II Sungai Pakning is one of the companies implementing the CSR program in Pakning Origin Village. This study aims to analyze community empowerment through the CSR program of PT. Pertamina RU II Sungai Pakning in Pakning Asal Village and know the factors that cause obstruction to community empowerment carried out by Pertamina Sungai Pakning. This research uses qualitative research using a case study approach and the required data, both primary and secondary data, are obtained through observation, interviews and documentation and then analyzed based on the research problem. The results of this study indicate that, First, community empowerment carried out by PT. Pertamina RU II Sungai Pakning in protecting the environment and preventing fires has been running quite well but still requires the development of an empowerment program so that it can cover the economic side and have an influence on the increase in opinion of these community groups. second, there are several factors that cause obstruction to community empowerment programs such as a lack of skills in human resources, and poor management of local natural resources in the village.
