POLA KOMUNIKASI KELOMPOK FUN GAMING DALAM KERJASAMA TIM ESPORTS PROFESIONAL DOTA 2
Abstract
Communication between team members is the most vital thing in
achieving victory in online games, even any player or captain should be aware that
every member has an equal and equally important position. During the course of
the game, each member of the team is required to interact in command from the
captain to another member, share information about the status and condition of
each Hero the player uses, share information about the opponent's movements, and
agree on the steps to be taken to achieve victory .
The study was conducted at bootcamp or eSports team training location
in Pekanbaru City, while the reason for choosing the location was due to the title
of the researcher. This research was conducted in March - April 2018. In data
collection, the researcher used interview, observation, and documentation
technique. Using informant as the source of information.
The results showed the Fun Gaming communication pattern in the DotA
2 eSports team during the match had been running well in accordance with its
function. Communication used is virtual communication and face to face by way of
email, chat and web with chain communication pattern. Face to face
communication patterns Fun Gaming eSports team DotA 2 when not competing
well and applied well in groups with a pattern of face-to-face communication with
star patterns. They always gather together to exchange ideas and share each other
with the game DotA 2.
