PENERAPAN PENDEKATAN KONTEKSTUAL UNTUK MENGURANGI MISKONSEPSI SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN FISIKA
Abstract
Abstract: This research aimed to know the decrease of students' misconceptions by applying the contextual approach in X grade of SMAN 1 Kateman. This research was conducted from September to December 2015 with the research subject X1 class as the experimental class consist of 36 students and X2 class as the control class consist of 36 students. The type of the research was quasi-experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The instrument of data collection used in this study was the diagnostic tests, beginning and end misconceptions which consists of 16 objective questions. Based on the analysis of data of control class, the percentage of students who have misconceptions before learning was 69,04% and after learning by using conventional methods was 32,22%. In the experimental class, the percentage of students who have misconceptions before learning was 68,36% and after learning by using the contextual approach was 14.21%. A decrease in the percentage of students who have misconceptions on the control class was 36,82% and the experimental class was 54,15%. It can be concluded that the contextual approach can decrease students' misconceptions in the subject matter of straight motion in X grade of SMAN 1 Kateman.
