PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE TALKING STICK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV.C SD NEGERI 016 BUKIT TIMAH TAHUN PELAJARAN 2013/2014
Abstract
Abstract. This research is motivated by low result of social studies class IV.C for SDN 016 Bukit Timah. Based on the results obtained from the preliminary observations it appears that the number of students who achieve a score ≥ 75 only amounted to 7 people, or 31.81% and a value of <75 amounted to 15 people, or 68.19%. The cause of the low results of the study are due to process-centered learning so that students are less teacher involvement in the learning and teaching methods that teachers do monotonous. Therefore, the researchers conducted a study in the form of Classroom Action Research by implementing cooperative learning Talking Stick model. The subjects were students of class IV.C SDN 016 Bukit Timah academic year 2013/2014 amounted to 22 students. The class was chosen as a subject of research for social studies learning outcomes in the classroom is low compared to other fourth grade. This research was conducted in two cycles, and each cycle consisted of two meetings. The results showed that students who completed the first cycle amounted to 15 people or 68% while the second cycle reaches 21 peoples or 95%. Research results generally show that through the implementation of cooperative learning Talking Stick model can improve the student achievement to learning IPS.
