Abstract


Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the generative learning model on measurement material assisted by physics at school media in improving cognitive learning outcomes of class X high school students. The population in this study were all students of class X high school, after the normality test and homogeneity test were carried out to determine the sample, the experimental class and control class were determined randomly and it was obtained that class X IPA 1, totaling 20 people as the control class and class X IPA 2 which totaled 21 as the experimental class. The results showed that the average result of the experimental class was higher than the class that applied conventional learning. Thus, applying the generative learning model assisted by media physics at school is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the measurement material for class X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Sabak Auh.
