PENGARUH JENIS MEDIA DAN KONSENTRASI 2,4-D PADA MIKROPROPAGASI TANAMAN GAJAH BERANAK (Goniothalamus sp.) TERHADAP KEBERADAAN GONIOTALAMIN SEBAGAI RANCANGAN BOOKLET BIOTEKNOLOGI MODERN

Abstract


Abstract: This research aims to know the effect of the combination of medium and 2,4-D on the growth of Gajah Beranak (Goniothalamus sp.) and the design of booklet for senior high school modern biotechnology materials in November 2021 – January 2022. This research consists of two stage. The first stage of research that the combination of medium and 2,4-D micropropagation, was carried out at the Laboratory of Biotechnology Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic Riau University, Pekanbaru using an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 12 treatments and 3 replication. Parameters observed were explant growth time, percentage of explant growth, number of leaves, planlet height and the presence of goniotalamine. The results of research obtained then analyzed ANOVA and a further test DMRT at the 5% level. The second stage of the research was the booklet design stage which was sourced from the results of the first stage of the research. The results showed that the medium and 2,4-D significantly affected the groeth of the explants of Gajah Branak. The fastest explant growth time in the M2D5 treatment was with an average of 23,7 days after culture (HSK). The percentage of explants grown 100% all treatments. The highest number of leaves in the M2D5 treatment was with an average of 4,0. The highest planlet height in the M2D5 treatment was with an average of 19,5. The qualitative result of Thin Layer Chromatography showed the potential content of goniotalamine substances. Based on the research result, the combination of medium and 2,4-D can be used as a student guide booklet design on biotechnology material for grade XII SMA on the subject matter of modern biotechnology.
