ANALISIS LITERASI SAINS KONTEN BIOLOGI, FISIKA, DAN KIMIA BUKU TEKS PELAJARAN IPA TERPADU KELAS VIII SMP/MTs

Abstract


Abstract : This study aims to describe the percentage of scientific literacy in the content of biology, physics, and chemistry textbook integrated science class VIII SMP/MTs. The research was conducted at the Biology Education Study Program of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Riau University in March 2019-April 2020. This study used a qualitative approach with a content analysis method. The research subjects are all material in integrated science textbooks for class VIII SMP/MTs Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2016 published by Erlangga which is divided into biological, physical, and chemical content. The research instrument was in the form of an assessment sheet for the category of scientific literacy based on the number of statements and the appearance of the indicator. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical methods. The results showed that the biological content obtained the highest percentage of scientific literacy based on the number of statements found in the category of science as the body of knowledge by 39.78% and overall scientific literacy of biological content based on the appearance of indicators obtained good criteria. In physical content the highest percentage of scientific literacy based on the number of statements is in the category of science as the body of knowledge by 45.16% and overall physical content literacy based on the appearance of indicators obtains very good criteria. In chemical content the highest percentage of scientific literacy based on the number of statements is in the category of science as the body of knowledge by 49.44% and overall chemical content literacy based on the appearance of indicators obtains quite good criteria.
