HUBUNGAN PEMBERIAN REBUSAN DAUN BINAHONG (Anredera Cordifolia) DENGAN PENURUNAN KADAR GULA DARAH PENDERITA DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2

Abstract


Diabetes mellitus is referred to as a non-communicable disease which is the most common non-communicable disease suffered by the community at this time. This disease is characterized by high levels of glucose in the blood whose values exceed normal values. Among the herbal plants that can be used as traditional medicine for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, namely Binahong. The study was conducted in the working area of the Pekanbaru Rejosari Health Center starting from February 2021 to August 2021. This research is a quantitative study that uses descriptive methods with descriptive correlations. The sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling with a total sample of 15 respondents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between binahong leaf stew on blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetics. The data analysis used in this study was the Pearson Correlation test. The results showed that there was a relationship between giving binahong leaf stew on decreasing blood sugar levels with p value (0.000) < alpha (0.05). There is a relationship between steeping binahong leaf stew on decreasing blood sugar levels of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of Rejosari Health Center Pekanbaru.
