EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM DINAS KEBUDAYAAN DAN PARIWISATA PADA PESTA BUDAYA TABUIK DI KOTA PARIAMAN PROVINSI SUMATERA BARAT

Abstract


Based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No. 10 Year 2009 on Tourism in
chapter 1 verse 10 says : " strategic areas of tourism is the area that has the primary function
of tourism or have the potential for development of tourism which has a significant impact on
one or more aspects , such as economic growth , social and cultural , environmental support ,
and defense and security . " the legal basis is the reason for the Department of Culture and
Tourism cultural Festival Tabuik Pariaman enter the work program which is used as a
platform to attract tourists to come to the city of Pariaman .
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the program created by the
Department of Culture and Tourism of Pariaman already running equally effective as the
previous objectives and determine the impact of the program for the City pariaman . This
research was conducted at the Department of Culture and Tourism of Pariaman , using
qualitative descriptive method with data collection through interviews , observation and
documentation of the people who play an important role in the Program of Culture and
Tourism in Tabuik Cultural Festival in Pariaman City West Sumatra province . This research
was conducted by using the theory of Richard M. Steers (1985 ) about the factors that
influence the effectiveness of an organization .
The results of this study indicate that the Program of Culture and Tourism Cultural
Festival Tabuik in Pariaman City West Sumatra province has been effective . It can be seen
from the increasing number of tourists both foreign and domestic tourists/ Kota Pariaman
especially on Tabuik Cultural Festival . Increasing the number of visitors also have an
impact on improving the economy of communities around the city of Pariaman and turn on
coastal tourism and marine tourism in Pariaman City .
