Abstract

The Village Consultative Body is a solid partner of the village government in improving the welfare of the people. It is hoped that the Village Government and Village Consultative Body can bring progress by providing direction and input in developing good village government. The function of the BPD is as an institution that establishes Village Regulations together with the Village Head, as well as accommodating and channeling community aspirations. The aim of the research is to determine the performance of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in implementing democratic village governance. Village Consultative Body (BPD) in implementing democratic village governance in Karya Indah, Tapung District, Kampar Regency. This research was carried out in Karya Indah Village, Tapung District, Kampar Regency, with the aim of finding out the Community's Perception of the Karya Indah Village Consultative Body, Tapung District, Kampar Regency in 2021. The type of research used in the research used qualitative descriptive research, data collection methods, namely, observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis used is data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.
The Village Consultative Body is an institution that carries out government functions. The Village Consultative Body functions to discuss and agree on draft village regulations with the Village Head, accommodate and channel the aspirations of the village community, and supervise the performance of the village head. How much is good / how much is not good? Article 32 of the Minister of Home Affairs Regulation states that the tasks of the BPD are as follows: 1. Explore the aspirations of the community. 2. Accommodate community aspirations. 3. Manage community aspirations according to the community's own needs by holding discussions with the BPD so that the government knows what the community needs. 4. Channel the aspirations of the people of Karya Indah Village in 2021. 5. Discuss and agree on the Draft Village Regulations with the Village Head. 6. Carry out supervision of the performance of the village head
