KEBIJAKAN PEMERINTAH DESA BENAI KECIL DALAM MEMBERDAYAKAN EKONOMI MASYARAKAT DESA BENAI KECIL KECAMATAN BENAI KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI

Abstract

This study aim to explain policies carried out by the government of Benai Kecil Village, Benai district, Kuantan Singingi Regency. aims to determine the efforts made by the Benai Kecil village government in empowering the economy. and determine of the obstacles faced by the Benai Kecil village government in carrying out the empowerment program. The problems that occur in Benai Kecil are economic problems which cause people to be registered with Social Welfare Problems (PMKS) in Benai Kecil Village and the lack of community participation in various activities to improve the economy. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The location of this research was conducted in the village of Benai Kecil, Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. One of the theories used is public policy strategy.
The results of this study indicate the empowerment strategy of the Benai Kecil village government, Benai District, as a subject who plays a role in managing and implementing regional development programs. The empowerment goes through three stages, namely the awareness stage, the capacity building stage, and the empowerment stage. The obstacles faced by the Benai Kecil village government are the people who don't care, location selection, lack of skills, and budgetary funds. The purpose of empowerment is to achieve the independence of the Benai Kecil village community.
