MANAGEMENT OF SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (UMKM) AS A SUPPORTING ATTRACTION FOR DAYUN TOURISM VILLAGE
Abstract
This Dayun Village is one of the villages located in the Dayun District, Siak Regency. This village is very rich in a variety of abundant resources, one of which is in the field of tourism, which received the ADWI award in 2022. The people of Dayun Village work together to develop tourism, including the continuous development of Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) to support the development of tourism in Dayun Village. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method and applies Management theory. In gathering data, the researcher uses techniques such as interviews, observation, literature review, and documentation, using key informants and support as sources of data. The research results show that the management of UMKM businesses as a supporting attraction for Dayun Tourism Village is not optimal. This is evidenced by the implementation that does not run as it should and the lack of human resources to continue developing UMKM. This has caused the management of UMKM in Dayun Village to be less successful and still needs improvement.
