PENGAWASAN UNIT PELAKSANA TEKNIS KESATUAN PENGELOLAAN HUTAN PRODUKSI MINAS TAHURA TAHUN 2021-2022
Abstract
Supervision carried out by the government is in various aspects, one of which is protecting forests. Forests are natural resources that have an important role in a country's development. The problem with this research is the occurrence of encroachment in the Tahura KPHP area caused by irresponsible individuals. In overcoming the problem, KPHP has carried out patrols and outreach. The aim of this research is to determine the monitoring efforts of the technical implementation unit of the Minas Taura production forest management unit in monitoring and protecting forests in 2021/2022. The second is to find out what obstacles the UPT is experiencing. KPHP MINAS TAHURA in monitoring and protecting forests in 2021-2022.
This research was carried out in Pekanbaru, precisely at the UPT KPHP MINAS TAHURA office. This research uses a qualitative research method, based on the theory of T. Hani Handoko which explains that the monitoring process has 5 indicators, namely determining implementation standards, determining activity implementation measurements, measuring activity implementation, comparing implementation with implementation standards, taking corrective action if necessary. By using two data source methods, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data was obtained using interviews and documentation. Secondary data was obtained using several reference sources in the form of books, journals, theses, regulations and also social media and official websites. The results of this research show that the level of supervision is not completely effective. This is because there are still several things that need to be improved, such as increasing the function and usefulness of Minas Taura as well as improving community relations with parties involved in supervision at Taura, and following up on individuals who carry out illegal forest logging activities and carrying out plans. which isn't running yet.
