PERSAINGAN USAHA DAGANG BARANG HARIAN DI JALAN KWALIAN KECAMATAN SIAK KABUPATEN SIAK

Abstract


This research was conducted on Jalan Kwalian, Siak District, Siak Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of daily trading business competition on Jalan Kwalian, Siak District, Siak Regency. The research subjects involved in this study were 5 people and 1 key informant. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The method used is observation, documentation and in-depth interviews using 3 elements, namely data reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. From the results of the research conducted, it shows that: 1) The trading business competition that occurs among traders with one another runs in a healthy manner. Unfair competition will make it difficult for them when something or other problems occur, and communication between traders is also important here. They also trade together and both make money in the same place. 2) The price set by the traders here, of course, they still follow the price set by the market, in which they get profits in the range of Rp. 1000 to Rp. 2000 and they cannot make more prices because it will affect their sales. 3) The services of these traders vary because of the way these traders serve buyers, some of them serve the buyers themselves and some serve the buyers, husband and wife (performed together) from each of these traders, time efficiency can also be felt by the buyers because one of them is serving the buyer's order and the other one is waiting at the place of payment, so that makes it easier for them to provide services to buyers. 4) The places of these traders also vary, the arrangement of their goods is also neat and some are located on the table, some of their merchandise is placed hanging above the head which does not make it difficult for buyers when they need the goods when needed. The cleanliness of the place where they trade is of course very guarded, because when the place where they trade is dirty or scattered it will make them feel uncomfortable when there are buyers who come to shop at their place.
