PELAKSANAAN PROMOSI INTERNATIONAL TOUR PACKAGES MELALUI MEDIA SOSIAL DWIDAYA TOUR

Abstract


The promotion of international tour packages and other travel tour packages at a travel agency is very important. Especially at this time, promotion is more effectively carried out through an advertisement on a gadget and one way to do this is through social media. The social media used for this promotion besides Instagram are Facebook and Twitter. Through the Dwidaya Tour Instagram account, various international tour packages are displayed at various prices. As well as promos that really invite potential customers. The purpose of this research is to find out the form of promotion through social media Instagram, websites and other forms of promotion and to find out the obstacles experienced by Dwidaya Tour during the promotion. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the actual situation by collecting information data obtained directly from the field with the key informants in this study, namely branch supervisors and travel consultants. The research also uses data collection techniques from literature, observation, documentation and interviews. From this research it can be seen that the promotion carried out by Dwidaya Tour Pekanbaru is through social media platforms and other forms of implementation in the form of advertising, sales promotions, publications, and personal selling. Of all the promotions carried out, promotion through Instagram social media is more often used by personal Tour & Travel to reach the general public.
