Abstract


In order to organize and facilitate learning and teaching activities both in schools and universities during the Covid-19 pandemic, the government issued an online learning policy, of course this policy will affect the spirit, especially the learning motivation of Riau university students because previous learning was carried out directly but is now being carried out. online, therefore there is a decrease in the learning motivation of Riau University students. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of online learning on student motivation at the University of Riau. This research was conducted at the University of Riau by using google form and filling out the questionnaire directly using descriptive quantitative methods, data collection was carried out through observation and interviews. This research was conducted using the theory of learning from and motivation to learn. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of student learning motivation on online learning policies at the University of Riau because. This shows that the higher the online learning policy, the higher the learning motivation of Riau University students, and vice versa.
