KONTROL SOSIAL TERHADAP SISWA SMA DALAM PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TIKTOK

Abstract

Tiktok social media is an entertainment media that is used to upload lip-sync videos in the form of photos, singing, or interesting songs accompanied by popular songs that last 15-60 seconds and then share them on other tiktok social media. From the uploaded videos, users get likes and comments, making tiktok a popular social media and is used by many people around the world. The purpose of this study was to determine the social control of SMA N 1 Kapur IX students in the use of social media tiktok. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods to accurately describe the characteristics of an individual or the state of a particular group in society. data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. While the theory used in this study is the theory of social control which was coined by Travis Hirschi, and the number of informants in this study were 12 informants. The results obtained from the research conducted found that tiktok had positive and negative impacts among students of SMA N 1 Kapur IX District, because most of the students were users of tiktok social media. Therefore, it is necessary for teachers to have social control when children use tiktok social media, using preventive and repressive social control. Preventive social control is an action of social control that is carried out before the occurrence of a violation of social norms that apply in people's lives which aims to keep the situation conducive. While repressive social control is a social control that is carried out to restore social chaos as before.
