KEBIJAKAN PEMBATASAN SOSIAL BERSKALA BESAR (PSBB) DALAM RANGKA PERCEPATAN PENCEGAHAN PENYEBARAN CORONA VIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) DI KOTA PEKANBARU TAHUN 2020

Abstract

Corona Virus Disease 2019 which spread in Pekanbaru City made the Pekanbaru City Government issue a Regulatory Policy for handling and preventing the spread of Covid -19 as well as a Distributive Policy for the provision of basic needs for the people of Pekanbaru City during the PSBB period which was considered to be inappropriate. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the Large-Scale Social Restriction (PSBB) policy in the context of accelerating the handling of Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Pekanbaru City considering that Pekanbaru city is the capital city of Riau province. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. In collecting data, the author uses interview and documentation techniques. The results of the study show that the results of implementing this policy can suppress the spread and positive cases of Covid-19 in Pekanbaru City quite well. The Pekanbaru City Covid-19 Task Force, assisted by agencies and devices as well as volunteers, carried out various efforts, namely in the health sector, education sector, social sector, economic sector in meeting the basic needs of the community, peace and order sector, and social safety net sector.
