PENGAWASAN PUSAT PERBELANJAAN DI MASA NEW NORMAL PANDEMI COVID-19 OLEH PEMERINTAH KOTA PEKANBARU TAHUN 2020

Abstract

ABSTRACT

             During this pandemic, shopping centers are one of the places that have the potential to gather crowds of people, with large crowds of people will cause an increase in the spread of the covid-19 virus. Fulfillment of basic needs in markets or shopping centers will continue. Therefore, the government has emphasized to follow health protocols in all activities outside the home, be it in office, markets, shopping centers, schools, and so on to avoid the dangers of the Covid-19 virus. Health protocols such as continuing to wash hands and maintain cleanliness, wearing masks when leaving the house, doing social distancing and restrictions, etc.

          This study aims to find out how the supervision of the Pekanbaru City government in supervising shopping centers during the new normal period of the Covid-19 pandemic in the City of Pekanbaru. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The location of this research was carried out in Mal Pekanbaru and Mal SKA Pekanbaru City, with data collection techniques carried out by interviews and documentation.

          The result of this study are that there is still weak supervision carried out by the Pekanbaru City government on the supervision of shopping centers during the new normal period of the Covid-19 pandemic in Pekanbaru City and the implementation of standard health protocols by shopping center managers. The implementation of the Pekanbaru Mayors regulation number 104 of 2020 regarding new life behaviors, supervision has been running but is still violations of health protocols found in shopping centers during the new normal period of the Covid-19 pandemic in the City of Pekanbaru.
