STRATEGI PUBLIC RELATIONS TOURISM AUTHERITY OF THAILAND (TAT) JAKARTA OFFICE DALAM MEMPROMOSIKAN WISATA HALAL KEPADA WISATAWAN INDONESIA
Abstract
Halal tourism is a global phenomenon today. The development of Halal tourism has been supported by many countries, especially ASEAN countries. Thailand is one of the countries developing halal tourism, the purpose of developing halal tourism is to make Thailand a Muslim-friendly country and Indonesian Muslim tourists are the main target. The demand for halal travel by Muslim tourists will be a challenge for the Thai government, especially the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) which has representative offices in different countries, is the government agency responsible for promoting Thai tourism as a suitable destination for Muslims. . While this study aims to explain and explore the strategy of PR TAT Jakarta office in promoting Thailand's halal tourism.
The research method used is qualitative using library research techniques.
This study collects data using primary and secondary data.
The results of this study explain that the strategy implemented by TAT Jakarta's public relations in promoting halal tourism to make Thailand a Muslim country is very good, due to the number of foreign visitors. Outbound visits to Thailand in 2014-2018 are increasing every year. Improvement efforts are reflected in the existence of guides and brochures for tourists and facilities and add-ons for Muslim tourists to make it easier for tourists to visit.
