PENERAPAN PRINSIP GOOD GOVERNANCE PADA LEMBAGA SWADAYA MASYARAKAT DI KABUPATEN KUANTAN SINGINGI TAHUN 2017

Abstract


The lack of public trust in NGOs is also due to the low accountability and transparency of NGOs in the eyes of the public which has an impact on the decline in support and social and moral legitimacy of these NGOs in the eyes of the public. This study aims to determine the application of the principles of good governance in non-governmental organizations in Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The data collection techniques used were interview and documentation techniques.The results of the study concluded that: (1) The transparency of NGOs in Kuantan Singingi District was not optimal. This was known from NGOs that were not transparent in reporting sources of funds and the amount of funds received in their activities; (2) Community participation in Kuantan Singingi District is still lacking, this is known from the lack of community involvement in work programs or NGO activities; 3) The accountability of NGOs in Kuantan Singingi Regency has not run as expected. This can be seen from the unopen recruitment process; 4) The rule of law of NGOs in Kuantan Singingi Regency has not been implemented optimally. This can be seen from the NGOs that were established but were still quite weak from the implementation strategy, which resulted in a lack of strategic position over their work plans.
