POLA PENGASUHAN ANAK DALAM KELUARGA MELAYU DIKELURAHAN LUBUK PUDING KECAMATAN BURU KABUPATEN KARIMUN
Abstract
Child care in the family is absolutely necessary to produce quality children. The process of shaping and creating quality and self-reliant children's personalities requires a good environment and environment around the life of a conducive child. The purpose of this study is to find out how the pattern of child care in the Malay family and to know the relationship between parents to the adopted parenting patterns. Data analysis is done by explaining the data into the form of frequency table with descriptive analysis complete with percentage. The analysis used in this study is all data obtained in the field either primary data or secondary data and will be grouped by type and then analyzed qualitatively. Technique of data retrieval in this research is purposive sampling that is respondent who have children age 6 until 12 year who occupy class 1 to class 6 elementary which amounted to 15 people. From the results of the study can be concluded that parents who have children aged 6-9 years of class 1 to grade 3 elementary school apply Authoritarian style with gift giving. While parents who have children aged 10 to 12 years of grade 4 to grade 6 elementary school apply democratic parenting, but in certain circumstances parents also apply authoritarian parenting patterns in improving child discipline. The relationship of interaction between parent-child majority is well and harmoniously, this is because parents understand the character of each child.
